Privacy
Short version: we collect what an order needs and nothing else. There are no advertising trackers on this site, we do not sell or share personal information, and there is no account to create.
What we collect
- Order details — name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and what you bought. Collected by Stripe during checkout and passed to us.
- Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Messages you send us — whatever is in the email.
- Server logs — our host records requests, including IP address, as part of running and securing the site.
What we store in your browser
Your cart lives in your browser’s local storage and holds only item codes and quantities — no prices and nothing about you. It never leaves your device except when a page asks our server to price it, or when you check out. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page for fraud prevention; that is covered by their policy.
Why we use it
To take payment, source and ship your order, handle returns and warranty claims, and keep the records that tax and accounting rules require. We use your email to send order updates. We will not add you to a marketing list because you bought something.
Who else sees it
- Stripe — payment processing. Their privacy policy governs what they hold.
- Our suppliers and carriers — the shipping address and contact details needed to deliver your order, and nothing more.
- Our hosting and email providers — as part of running the site and sending order email.
- Anyone we are legally required to disclose to.
We do not sell personal information, and we never have.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require — generally seven years. Email correspondence is kept while it is useful for supporting you.
Your choices
Write to orders@strucmat.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will delete what we are not required to keep, and tell you plainly what we cannot delete and why. Depending on where you live you may have further rights — ask and we will honour them.
Children
This is a trade supply site. It is not directed at anyone under 18.
